Erica Sagese is a therapist invested in emphasizing an integrative, dynamic and holistic approach to mental health. She believes with support and learned skills, all children can thrive. Her role as a therapist is to build a meaningful and trusting relationship to foster therapy that is enjoyable, encouraging, engaging, and realistic. Erica's approach emphasizes the mutual development of goals for therapy and ongoing assessment of the therapeutic treatment plan.
She specializes in working with children and adolescents, along with their families, to foster behavioral, social, emotional, and academic well-being. Erica has experience working with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, as well as with children who experience learning disabilities and or behavior disorders.
Erica graduated with a Master of Arts in School and Community Psychology with an Advanced Graduate Certificate in School Psychology from Wayne State University. She received a Bachelors of Arts in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience, with a minor in Community Action and Social Change from the University of Michigan. Erica also working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist.
In addition to working with children and adolescents in the outpatient setting, Erica is also a school psychologist, which provides a unique perspective to the experiences of the whole child. She looks forward to meeting and working with you.
