Kenisha Parham, MA, LLP

Orchard Lake office in Farmington Hills

Kenisha Parham, MA, LLP developed a passion for working with young children and their families while beginning her career in the field of early childhood education.  During that time, Kenisha worked to support and educate families of infants and young toddlers as they navigated through the stages of parenthood. While working on her BA in Counseling Psychology from Rochester University, Kenisha developed an interest in attachment, trauma, and adjustment during the perinatal period. This interest continued to develop during her studies at the Michigan School of Psychology where Kenisha graduated with a MA in Clinical Psychology and blossomed into a passion for studying Maternal and Infant Mental Health. In order to best serve families from birth to age five, Kenisha is currently working towards obtaining an endorsement in Infant Mental Health through the Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health, certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International, and also becoming a Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy.

Having over 20 years of experience working with a vast population of families has allowed Kenisha to help many families navigate the sometimes difficult and “not so fun” stages of parenthood. Whether it is pregnancy concerns, postpartum anxiety or depression, difficulty transitioning through life stages, early childhood behavioral issues, or just feeling overwhelmed with the vast amount of conflicting information about parenting, Kenisha can help your family by providing the support and empathy that you need to help your family get through these difficult times.
